Master Dog Breeders Association Registration 17602
1. Expressions of interest.
Once we have made an announcement of a litter and upcoming available puppies this is the best time to get in touch with us. At Wallaby Way we do not have a waitlist but we do have a mailing list so please be sure to subscribe, after an announcement has been sent out via our mailing list and socials
Please message us directly from our Contact page so we can organise a chat with you. We can also chat to you via Facebook/WhatsApp directly. This is the best way in feeling you have enough information to make this life changing decision. It is also always lovely for us to meet new prospective puppy parents, plus we always enjoy a good chin wag about the Cobberdog.
2. Complete an application form.
If after our chat you decide you would like to proceed we will then send you an application to fill out. Please complete and send back to us, once your application has been approved we will let you know via email. Please only ask for an application if you are serious about purchasing a puppy, as there are limited spots on our wait list and only a hand full of applications will be sent out.
3. Its time to commit.
Once your application has been reviewed and accepted its time to commit and confirm your position for a Wallaby Way Cobberdog . A deposit of $500 +GST(non refundable) is placed, this is to show us that you are serious about welcoming your new family member home. We take this commitment very seriously as the supply of Cobberdog's in Australia is very limited and the demand very high. Being placed on a list gives us the ability to correspond with you throughout the process, keeping you updated on how the puppies are doing as they grow.

At Wallaby Way Cobberdog's, we do not de-sex our puppies. Working closely with our vet and personal research, we decided it is in the primary health interests of our puppies not to do so.
5. Puppy allocation.
We understand the excitement and anticipation that comes with waiting for your new pup to arrive, and especially as the weeks continue until you are giving them warm cuddles yourself. That is why it is very important in understanding why our allocation process takes 6 weeks and at times possibly longer. When we are observing our new-born pups, we are starting the process of selecting which puppy would best suit which family, other breeders or organisations, and we take careful consideration to temperament, health and size. Coat and genetic testing is performed at 6 weeks and this is the time where we will have gained the best knowledge on where best to place our little cobber's.
Matching the right family to the right Cobberdog provides the best opportunity to have a gentle, loving relationship and home life.
From the birth of the litter you will receive weekly updates telling you about their activities and adventures, and plenty of gorgeous puppy photos so you can still watch them grow. At 6 weeks you will find out which darling pup is yours and at 9 - 12 weeks they will be on their way home to you.
6. Home time.
Its time to welcome your new family member home. If you are picking your puppy up in person, that's great. We can't wait to meet you and to be able to see the first little licks you receive. If your little guy or gal is coming to you by air or courier we will organise that for you. These transportation costs are added to the final cost of your puppy.
Pedagogy
"The Master Dog Breeders and Associates encourages and promotes the positive behaviours associated with being a responsible dog breeder, with our members leading by example. We have a thorough screening and accountability process.
The bottom line is that for MDBA breeders, raising the healthiest and best dogs they can is a passion, an honour, a labour of love and a lifelong commitment.
We do not believe that selection of purebred dogs with a primary focus on the way the dog looks is conducive to the health and welfare of the dogs or their breeds
Our Breeder members agree to ensure the best quality of life for the dogs they own and breed, as their primary focus, in all of their activities"

Wallaby Way Australian Cobberdogs acknowledges the Gubbi Gubbi people as the Traditional Owners of the Sunshine Coast and Gympie Regions on which we live, work and study. We pay respect to the local Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging.
The process for adopting a Wallaby Way puppy is quite simple, and has been designed to better help us pair you and your family with the best match possible.
